Matthias König, a.k.a. Snackbar The Ambassador, is a transdisciplinary artist from Germany based in The Hague. Since 2013 he has worked as an independent artist in the fields of sculptures, installations, drawings, and music, and he is chairman and member of the artist-run-studio Locatie Z.

Under his alter ego, Snackbar The Ambassador, he merges music with the visual arts, and performs live at clubs and exhibitions dressed in elaborate costumes. He also has a monthly show at Radio Tonka.

Last month, Snackbar released his first single ‘Iedere Dag Vakantie’ on the Dutch label Esc.Rec. A few days ago we talked to Matthias and to Harco from ESC.REC about Snackbar’s story, the single ‘Iedere Dag Vakantie’, and their future projects.
