Bobby Boycott: “I think Punk is evolving thanks to the Hip-Hop scene”

Bobby Boycott is a 26-year-old drummer, composer, and DJ based in Amsterdam. He is currently studying Sound Engineering at Abbey Road Studios. He grew up with hardcore punk and started learning drums when he was 5 years old. Soon afterwards Bobby broadened his music spectrum to genres such as Grunge, Hip-Hop, and Classical, and has been playing in bands since the age of 11.

Six years ago, he started mixing Deep Techno, but quickly moved onto more rhythmic styles such as Jungle and Drum & Bass. He is now mostly focused on Electro.

Carlos Alan Eperon met Bobby at Café Bakeliet to talk about his journey as a DJ and his goals for the future, including his dream of working in the Hardcore Punk scene.
